What Do We Do?

The Southport Writers’ Circle has been going since 1971 when the illustrious Joan Nicholson started a group whose purpose was the encourgement of writing in every form.

Since then our goal remains unchanged but our membership has become increasingly diverse, welcoming experienced and amateur writers alike, drawing on poets, prosewriters, playwrights, article smiths, novelists, and many other nuanced forms of the written word.

Should you wish to join us, we are a friendly and welcoming bunch and all we ask of you is that you are a writer who is willing to listen to critique and always strive to perfect and polish your work.
